MOD PROJECTS - Projects and games I've been working on. Sadly, you won't find most of the these in the galleries - either the mods and images were lsot, or the mod in question is small or jsut a balance pack so I didn't think it needs pictures. Baldurs Gate 2 - made a comprhensive mod that changed the way combat worked (items not linked to class, but ability scores, armor that uses damage reduction and not AC) and changed many NPC's and added new weapons. The last version of that mod is gone but IIRC I did send it to guys that worked at Gibberlings Tree forums, so it may stil be out there. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Made some new items and the greatsaber mode (two-handed lightsabers) and I worked on the Infinite Empire project making modes and animations and helping with the story and design. Unfortunately, the project lead went MIA. UFO: Aftershock - made a little mod with new items(armors, weapons) and rebalances. Nothing special. Star Trek: Bridge Commander - made a BIG re-balance pack for all canon trek ships. Was a lot of work given how many variables the ships had ( a single phaser bank had a window with 20 numbers at least) and how many ships there were. The balance pack got a whooping score of 9.5 and bcmods! Star Trek: Birth of the Federation - oldie but goldie. Made a re-balance pack for it too. Also was highly rated. System Shock 2 - Made some weapons for it at my friends request. Freelancer - again, a big re-balance and several new ships and weapons. Also donated a few older models to some other mod. Freespace 1 & 2 + SCP - the first game I started modding and I'm still modding it. I've been part of several mods (mostly helping out). Some are finished, some are still going and I even finished my own big mod. What can I say..with the Source Code Project, the game is simply too good :) Sword of the Stars - an excellent 4X game. I made a really big mod for it, which is 99% done at the time I'm tying this. Nexus: The Jupiter Incident - When it came out this game looked so good I had to start modding it. And I did by adding new ships. But then I hit the hardcoded 12 turrets limitation that killed it for me, and I just lost interest. too bad. TES: Oblivion - added some custom armors and weapons, made big ares with scripts (a large castle), daily routines and a lot of detials. Demo was well recieved. The confusing conversation scripting system and an annoying bug made me switch my efforts to other games for a time. And then the HDD chrashed! Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2 - modded both games extensivly, but for my own amusement only. The NWN 1 mod was especially big with 20 huge detailed areas with scripts and custom everything. I recall sending it to someone who wanted to continue my work. It may be out there. EV: Nova - 2D games can be quite fun too. I modded this one and made a big plug for it - everything but missions. I wrote the story down and started working on missions but RL and some other things kept dragging me away for it, so I released it as is. Transcendance - Similar to EV:Nova, but not in the same league. I modded it for a few days and added some ships, but that's about it. Homeworld 1 & 2 - again, made a bunch of ships, then joined a big project that wanted to use them (exclusively). The project died out. NOTE - there are a few games I modded but I can't remeber their names ATM. I'll add those later! ORIGINAL GAME PROJECTS Star Trek: Birth of the Federation 2 - fan made project. New engine, new models, new everything. A game made from scratch. It's going along pretty well so far. Ferrium>/b> - a new game project that is in hybernation of a sorts...or dead. Main programer went AWOL. Anathema - was supposed to be a MMO like EVE and the engine started looking real purdy, the designs were coming along nicely. Suddely the project lead dissapeared. Battle for Westnoth - an utterly beautifull strategic/tactical game. Gotta love the old 2D sprites. UFO: Alien Invasion - a X-Com/UFO clone based on a heavily modified quake2 engine. A brilliant game with tons of details. |
